Carmen’s music is from the eponymous opera Carmen which was written by Georges Bizet in 1875. The opera takes place in Seville, Spain, and the aria is called “Habanera.” The beautiful Carmen sings this famous aria in the first act of the opera and mesmerizes the others in the square.
